OKASHA

Okasha is a Sudanese director, filmmaker, cinematographer, visual storyteller, and editor. His work moves between long-form documentary and still photography, with a practice rooted in eastern Sudan and in the wider geographies that war, water, and memory redraw.

He shoots and cuts his own films. The image is built first — duration, light, the decision to stay — and language follows. Recent work includes Gash: The Rebel River, a documentary on the seasonal river of Kassala; The Dream, a nocturnal visual essay; and Wad Al-Noura, a portrait of a village held as land and testimony.

Alongside the films: portrait and landscape photography, aerial and FPV cinematography, and a small studio of AI-assisted visual experiments. Commissioned work is taken selectively, and only when it can be cinema.

The site is addressed to producers, production companies, festivals, funds, institutions, the press, and clients who need a director — not a content mill.
